Willie McMiller, known professionally as Willie Macc, was born on April 8, 1984, in Arkansas. He grew up in Florissant, Missouri, just outside of St. Louis, with his parents and three older brothers. His father, Willie McMiller Sr., was a pastor, and his mother was an elementary school teacher. From a young age, Willie and his brothers were put to work by their father, helping him renovate houses that he would buy and resell. They were paid in gummy bears for their hard work, sparking Willie's interest in home improvement and real estate.
After graduating from high school, Willie went on to study marketing at American InterContinental University. Following his graduation, he began his career in entertainment by appearing on BET's reality TV show College Hill Virgin Islands in the Spring of 2007. This experience helped launch Willie's career as a comedian and actor, leading him to move to Los Angeles to pursue opportunities in the entertainment industry.
Willie's big break came in 2008 when he appeared in the comedy spoof "Meet the Spartans," where he delivered a memorable "Yo Mama" joke. This role showcased Willie's comedic talent and helped solidify his place in the entertainment world. He went on to make appearances in popular TV shows such as CSI and Journeyman, as well as in commercials for major brands like Residence Inn, Kia, and Honda.
In 2017, Willie and his brother Jonathan founded Macc Boyz Properties, a real estate company focused on renovating and selling homes in the St. Louis area. By the time their home-renovation show My Flipping Family debuted on HGTV in February 2022, the Macc Boyz had successfully renovated and sold eight homes and one commercial property. Their show aimed to not only showcase their renovation skills but also to highlight the beauty and potential of the St. Louis community.
Outside of his career in entertainment and real estate, Willie is a devoted family man. He has always been close to his brothers, particularly Jonathan, with whom he shares a passion for home improvement. Their shared goal of reshaping the image of St. Louis through their work on My Flipping Family is a testament to their commitment to their community and their roots.
In recent years, Willie has continued to expand his acting career, appearing in hit TV shows like The Goldbergs and movies such as Distancing Socially. His comedic talents and charismatic personality have endeared him to audiences around the world, making him a rising star in the entertainment industry.
Willie Macc's journey from a small town in Missouri to the bright lights of Hollywood is a testament to his determination, talent, and passion for his craft. As he continues to evolve as an actor, comedian, and real estate entrepreneur, Willie remains committed to making a positive impact on the world around him and leaving a lasting legacy in the entertainment industry.
