William Pitt, also known as the 1st Earl of Chatham, was born on November 15, 1708, in England. He came from a prominent family; his grandfather, Thomas Pitt, was a prominent merchant and imperial administrator, and his father, Robert Pitt, served in Parliament as a member of the Tory political faction. From a young age, William Pitt was exposed to politics and the workings of government.
As a young man, Pitt attended Trinity College, Oxford, where he paid his way through a year of classes. However, he was forced to abandon his studies due to illness. During this time, he also took the opportunity to travel abroad, gaining valuable experience and knowledge of international affairs.

In the late 1760s, Pitt reached the pinnacle of his political career when he was appointed as Prime Minister of Great Britain. Serving during the reign of King George III, Pitt was known for his strong leadership and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the British people.
