Victoria Garrick, born on April 30, 1997 in Chicago, Illinois, was raised in Atherton, California. She developed a passion for volleyball at a young age and began her career playing club volleyball. Garrick excelled in the sport and eventually played as the varsity captain for two seasons in high school. Her skills and talent caught the attention of the University of Southern California, where she enrolled to further pursue her volleyball career.
At USC, Garrick made a name for herself as a standout player for the Women of Troy volleyball team. As a senior libero, she played a crucial role in the team's success, appearing in all 36 matches during her freshman year. She was recognized for her academic achievements as well, receiving a Pac-12 All-Academic honorable mention.
Throughout her college career, Garrick continued to impress both on and off the court. She was named to the UCSB Thunderdome Classic All-Tournament Team and was later honored as a member of the VolleyMob NCAA Regional Dream Team during her junior year.
Outside of volleyball, Garrick pursued a degree in broadcast journalism and used her platform to advocate for mental health awareness among student-athletes.
