Troy Brady was born on December 14, 1984, in Australia. He grew up in Gympie, a town in Queensland where he later co-founded the metalcore band The Amity Affliction. Brady met his bandmate Ahren Stringer in high school, where the two bonded over their love for music. Together, they formed the band during their last year of high school, naming it in honor of a friend who tragically passed away in a car accident at the age of 17.
Throughout their early years, Brady and Stringer would often perform during lunch breaks and at school concerts, honing their skills and building a dedicated following. The band's hard work paid off when they released their debut album, which gained them recognition in the Australian music scene.
Brady's guitar skills were integral to the band's sound, providing powerful riffs and melodic solos that set them apart from other metalcore bands. The Amity Affliction went on to release four studio albums, with their 2012 album "Chasing Ghosts" reaching number 1 on the ARIA charts.
In 2014, the band released "Let The Ocean Take Me," which spawned two ARIA top 40 singles, "Pittsburgh" and "Don't Lean On Me." Despite their success, Brady made the difficult decision to leave the band in October 2014 while they were in the middle of a tour.
After parting ways with his bandmates, Brady founded Elevnth Records in August 2015. The music label aimed to support and promote new talent in the Australian music industry, showcasing Brady's passion for supporting emerging artists.
Outside of his music career, Brady shares his life with his partner Leisa Ward and their beloved dog Lance. The couple's shared love for animals and nature has led them to support various animal welfare organizations and environmental causes.
Despite leaving The Amity Affliction, Brady's impact on the Australian metalcore scene is undeniable. His contribution to the band's success and his commitment to supporting emerging artists through Elevnth Records have cemented his place as a respected figure in the music industry.
