Trey Culver was born on July 18, 1996, in Dallas, Texas. From a young age, he showed a passion for sports and athleticism. He grew up with two younger brothers, J.J. and Jarrett, who also shared his love for competition.
After graduating from high school, Culver had the opportunity to pursue a basketball career at a junior college. However, he decided to stay close to home and attend Texas Tech University. It was there that he discovered his talent for track and field.
At Texas Tech, Culver joined the track and field team and quickly made a name for himself as a high-jump specialist. He became a two-time NCAA champion and represented Team USA at the NACAC Championships. In January 2018, he achieved an indoor personal best of 2.33m at the Corky Classic event, placing him as the fourth-highest jumper in NCAA history at that time.
Culver's family has a strong athletic legacy. His younger brother, J.J., pursued a college basketball career at Wayland Baptist University. Meanwhile, his youngest brother, Jarrett, followed in his footsteps by playing basketball for Texas Tech University. Jarrett has also gone on to become a professional basketball player in the NBA.
Outside of his athletic career, Culver enjoys following Hailee Steinfeld on Instagram. He is a dedicated athlete who is constantly striving to improve his skills and reach new heights in his sport.
