It was in 1971 that she ventured to Paris to record folk songs at Ossian Studio, a pivotal moment that would lead to the release of her debut album, "Folk Songs and Ballads: Tia Blake and Her Folk-group," in February 1972.
Tia Blake was a deeply cherished member of her family, having been born in Columbus, Georgia and later passing away in Pinehurst, North Carolina. She rests in peace next to her two beloved brothers, Chris and Peter, in North Hatley, Quebec, Canada.
