Steve Montano, better known by his stage name Steve, Righ?, was born on February 24th in the United States. He discovered his passion for music at a young age, picking up the guitar and singing in local bands throughout his teenage years. It wasn't long before he realized that music was his calling and decided to pursue a career in the industry.
Montano's big break came when he was featured on Markus and Jimmy Urine's project, Mindless Self-Indulgence, in 1995. This collaboration sparked his interest in the electropunk genre, and he became a key member of the band when it officially formed in New York City in 1997.
As a guitarist and singer for Mindless Self-Indulgence, Montano quickly gained recognition for his unique style and stage presence. He adopted the persona of Dr. Death Defying in the band's music videos and live performances, adding a touch of theatricality to their already energetic shows.
