Spencer Howard, born on July 28, 1996 in San Luis Obispo, California, was always destined for a career in baseball. Growing up in a supportive family environment, he was surrounded by the love and encouragement of his parents and his sister, Savanna.
Howard attended Templeton High School in Templeton, California, where he excelled as a four-sport athlete. Despite his talents in baseball, Howard also considered pursuing a career in volleyball at one point in high school.
After graduating from high school, Howard continued his baseball journey at California Polytechnic State University. His time at Cal Poly helped to refine his skills and set the stage for his future in professional baseball.

He made his official major league debut with the Phillies on August 9, 2020, pitching against the Atlanta Braves.
