Sonya Curry, born on May 30, 1966 in Virginia, is a former volleyball player and educator. After high school, Sonya attended Virginia Tech University where she met her future husband, ex-NBA player Dell Curry. The couple tied the knot in 1988 and went on to have three children together. Their eldest son is NBA superstar and MVP Stephen Curry, followed by former Duke guard Seth Curry, and daughter Sydel Curry who pursued a career in volleyball.
