Simon Woods was born on July 7, 1980, in England. He attended Eton College before going on to study English at Magdalen College, University of Oxford.
After graduating from Oxford, Woods briefly worked at The Guardian before pursuing a career in acting. He made his on-screen debut with appearances in the television series MI-5 and the film Starter for 10.
