Shobana was born on March 21, 1966, in India. From a young age, she was exposed to the world of dance and performance, with her three aunts being well-known Indian actresses and dancers. Inspired by their talent and passion, she began training in Bharata Natyam under the guidance of renowned dancers Padma Subrahmanyam and Chitra Visweswaran.
