Shane Steichen, born on November 5, 1985, in Sacramento, California, is a professional American football coach. He attended Oak Ridge High School before pursuing a degree in journalism and media studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. During his time at UNLV, Steichen was a standout quarterback and a four-year letterman from 2003 to 2006.
After graduating from UNLV, Steichen began his coaching career as an assistant coach for the Cleveland Browns. He then moved on to serve as an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Chargers from 2014 to 2020. In 2020, Steichen took on the role of offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles before being hired as the head coach for the Indianapolis Colts.
Steichen comes from a sports-oriented family – his older brother Sean was a punter at Boise State. He is a loving husband to his wife Nina and a doting father to their two children, Hudson and Stella.
