Sexmane, whose real name is Edward Maximilian Sene, was born on October 13, 2000, in Finland. Growing up in Siilinjärvi, he was immersed in the Lestadian conservative movement. Born to a father from Senegal and a Finnish mother, Sexmane has four brothers named Isaac, Adilio, Robin, Lucas, and a sister named Sofia. His older brother, Isaac, is also a musician.
In 2016, Sexmane first started writing music as a way to express himself. His talent did not go unnoticed, and in 2019, he rose to fame with the release of his self-published album, Sextape. The album gained traction quickly, and the opening track "Mama" became a hit with over 7 million views on Spotify.
