Santiago Pena Palacios was born on November 16, 1978, in Asuncion, Paraguay. He grew up in a middle-class family and was always interested in economics and politics from a young age. After completing his secondary education, he went on to pursue a degree in economics at the Catholic University of Asuncion.
After graduating from university, Santiago Pena Palacios started his career in the field of economics. He quickly made a name for himself as a talented economist and was soon appointed as a member of the Board of the Central Bank of Paraguay.
