Sal Ali, a Bangladeshi entrepreneur, was only eight years old when his family decided to move to Canada in pursuit of a better life. Growing up in a new country with different opportunities, Sal began to develop a strong work ethic and a passion for business.
After completing his education, Sal landed a job at Morgan Stanley in 2005. He spent three years at the company, working as a consultant and analyst, gaining valuable experience in the corporate world. However, Sal's true passion lay in the beauty industry, and he knew he wanted to create something of his own.
In 2014, Sal teamed up with his wife, Farah Dhukai, to launch Farsáli, a skincare and makeup company that quickly gained popularity for its innovative products. The brand debuted on Sephora's website in February 2017 and made its way into the retailer's stores by April of the same year.
Farsáli continued to grow, with Sal and Farah constantly seeking to innovate and bring new products to their customers. In April 2019, they announced the launch of Farsáli Privé, further solidifying their presence in the beauty industry.
Sal and Farah's journey was not without its challenges. In August 2020, they revealed that they had struggled with infertility, a difficult and emotional experience. However, their perseverance paid off when, in November 2020, they welcomed their daughter, Maya Ali, into the world.
Sal Ali's story is a testament to the power of passion and perseverance. From humble beginnings in Bangladesh to founding a successful beauty brand in Canada, Sal has shown that with dedication and hard work, anything is possible. He continues to inspire others with his entrepreneurial spirit and innovative approach to business.
