Sagang Jeong was born on October 26, 2002 in South Korea. Growing up in Seoul, Sagang developed a passion for music at an early age. He was always surrounded by music, as his family members were also musically inclined. His love for playing the guitar started when he was just a young boy, and he would spend hours practicing and honing his skills.
In 2011, Sagang decided to take his talents to the next level and auditioned for the popular talent series, Superstar K3. Although he didn't win the competition, the experience helped him gain more confidence in his abilities as a guitarist and performer.
Fast forward to 2016, Sagang's big break came when he was offered the opportunity to join the South Korean rock band, The East Light. The band, which was formed by Media Line Entertainment, was looking for a vocalist and guitarist, and Sagang fit the bill perfectly. Alongside his fellow bandmates, Eun-sung and Woo-jin, Sagang released their debut EP Six Senses in July of 2017.
Before joining The East Light, Sagang and his bandmates Eun-sung and Woo-jin had crossed paths on Mnet's Voice Kids Korea. The trio had all competed on the show, showcasing their individual talents before ultimately joining forces to form the band. Sagang's journey on Superstar K3 also played a pivotal role in shaping his career and prepared him for the challenges that lay ahead in the music industry.
Despite his growing fame, Sagang remains grounded and focused on his music. He continues to live in Seoul, where he grew up, and finds inspiration in the city's vibrant music scene. Sagang is known for his dedication to his craft and his infectious passion for playing the guitar.
