Ryan Bailey was born on April 13, 1989 in Portland, Oregon. From a young age, Bailey showed a natural talent for sprinting. He attended Douglas McKay High School in Salem, where he quickly made a name for himself as a standout sprinter. In 2007, he won the Oregon State Championships 6A titles in both the 100 meters and 200 meters.
After high school, Bailey continued to pursue his passion for track and field at the junior college level. At the National Junior College Track & Field Championships, he made history by setting the national junior college record in the 100 meters with an impressive time of 10.05 seconds.
With his remarkable speed and talent on the track, Bailey quickly caught the attention of coaches and scouts. He made the decision to turn professional and began competing on the national and international stage. His times of 9.88 seconds in the 100 meters and 20.10 seconds in the 200 meters established him as one of the fastest sprinters in American history.
