Russell Van Schaick, born on June 11, 1986 in Orlando, Florida, always had a passion for art growing up. He was raised in Orlando and attended Boone High School where he first discovered his love for tattoo artistry.
After high school, Van Schaick knew he wanted to pursue a career in tattooing. He started his tattoo journey with an apprenticeship at Wingut Tattoo and Body Piercing in Saint Cloud, Minnesota. This experience laid the foundation for his unique style and creativity that would later define his work.
Aside from his tattooing career, Van Schaick is also a talented musician. He served as the bassist for the band For All Those Sleeping, showcasing his versatility and passion for the arts.
Van Schaick eventually made his way back to Florida and began working at the renowned Hart & Huntington tattoo shop in Orlando. It was here that he honed his skills and developed a reputation for his artistic flair and creativity.
He later joined World Famous Tattoo Ink's pro team, specializing in abstract watercolor tattoos. His unique style and attention to detail have garnered him a loyal following of clients who seek out his expertise for one-of-a-kind tattoo designs.
Van Schaick draws inspiration from fellow tattoo artists and musicians, including his admiration for Megan Massacre, star of NY Ink and America's Worst Tattoos. He credits these influencers for sparking his creativity and pushing him to constantly evolve as an artist.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Van Schaick enjoys spending time with his family and friends in Orlando. His roots in the city fuel his passion for creating art that reflects the vibrant and eclectic culture of Florida.
