Roger Torres was born on July 13, 1991, in Colombia, to parents Emmanuel and Rita Torres. From a young age, Torres showed a passion for soccer, and he quickly excelled in the sport.
Torres began his professional soccer career in 2008 with Alianza Petrolera in Colombia. His exceptional skills on the field caught the attention of America de Cali, where he spent four successful years before making his move to Major League Soccer.
In 2010, Torres signed with the Philadelphia Union, marking the start of his MLS career. Initially sent on loan to the team, Torres proved himself as a valuable player and eventually signed a permanent contract with the Union in January 2012.
Throughout his time with the Philadelphia Union, Torres continued to impress fans and critics alike with his agility and playmaking abilities. He formed strong partnerships with his teammates, most notably Aaron Wheeler, who joined the Union in 2013.
