Robin de Kruijf was born on May 5th, 1991 in Schalkwijk, Netherlands. Growing up, she developed a passion for volleyball and began playing at a young age. Her talent on the court was evident from the start, and she quickly rose through the ranks in the Dutch volleyball scene.
De Kruijf made her debut with the Dutch national team at the age of 17. Her skills as a middle blocker quickly caught the attention of scouts, and she was soon signed by top clubs such as Dresdner SC, River Volley, and VakifBank Istanbul. With these clubs, she went on to win multiple league titles, cementing her status as one of the best players in the world.
In 2016, de Kruijf achieved a career milestone when she won a bronze medal at the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix while competing for the Dutch national team. Her performance on the world stage solidified her reputation as a top-tier player and showcased her ability to perform under pressure.
