At just seven years old, he watched in awe as the cowboys rode the fierce bulls, and he knew he had found his passion. By the time he was 14, he was already competing in bull riding competitions, showcasing his natural talent and determination from a young age.
As Paulo continued to compete in bull riding events, his skill and dedication caught the attention of the rodeo world. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a 10-time Professional Bull Riding champion and eventually winning the prestigious National Finals Rodeo. His fearless riding style and competitive spirit made him a force to be reckoned with in the bull riding world.
In 2024, Paulo made the difficult decision to retire from bull riding. Despite stepping away from the arena, his love for the sport remained strong. He transitioned into coaching and began his professional coaching career with the Florida Freedom Bull Riders. As a coach, he shared his expertise and knowledge with the next generation of bull riders, helping them hone their skills and reach their full potential.
Outside of the arena, Paulo leads a quiet and peaceful life with his wife, Maria, and their two children in the state of Florida. He values family above all else and cherishes the time spent with his loved ones. Despite his fame and success, he remains humble and grounded, always grateful for the opportunities that bull riding has given him.
As a child, Paulo had a love for American Westerns and would often spend hours watching them, gaining inspiration for his own bull riding career. Even at a young age, he was drawn to the thrill and excitement of the rodeo. He would even practice his skills by riding young calves, showing his dedication and passion for the sport from an early age.
