Özgür Çevik was born on May 27, 1981 in Ankara, Turkey to his parents Nihal and Zeki Çevik. His father, Zeki, served as a soldier while his mother, Nihal, worked as a police officer. Özgür also has a younger sister named Özge.
Özgür's interest in the arts was evident from a young age. He pursued his passion by studying philosophy at Istanbul University and radio and television at Beykent University.
