Oliver Scott Sykes was born on November 20, 1986, in Ashford, England. At a young age, he moved to Australia with his family before returning to the U.K. at the age of eight. It was during his formative years that Sykes discovered his passion for music and began experimenting with different bands.
As a teenager, Sykes played in various bands, including Womb 2 Da Tomb and Purple Curto, before eventually finding success as the frontman of the metalcore band Bring Me The Horizon.
