ObeyDario was born on July 16, 1998, in Michigan. He grew up in Detroit alongside his older brother, who is two years his senior. From a young age, ObeyDario had a passion for dancing and would often be found practicing his moves in his bedroom.
As he entered his teenage years, ObeyDario's love for dance only grew stronger. He began taking classes at local dance studios in Detroit, honing his skills and perfecting his craft. It was during this time that he discovered urban hip-hop dance and found his true calling.
In collaboration with a few close friends who shared his passion for dance, ObeyDario co-founded the urban hip-hop dance crew ProdiJee. Together, they brought their unique style of dance to the streets of Detroit, captivating audiences with their performances.
ObeyDario's big break came when he joined the Vine community in October of 2013. His videos showcasing his incredible dance skills quickly gained popularity, earning him a large following on the platform. He frequently used the hashtag #ProdiJee to promote his crew and showcase their talents.
ObeyDario's influence extended beyond Vine, with hashtags like #DarioMovement and #StayHumbleMovement becoming associated with him. He used his platform to spread positivity and inspire others to follow their dreams.
Outside of his work with ProdiJee, ObeyDario also pursued a career as a hip-hop choreographer and dance instructor. He shared his knowledge and passion for dance with recreational and competitive students at dance studios in metro Detroit, including Danse D'Amour Dance Studio and Step O.F.F. Dance Studio.
ObeyDario's talent caught the attention of fellow dancers and influencers in the industry. Safari Gage tagged him in one of her dance Vine videos in February 2014, further expanding his reach and connections within the dance community.
ObeyDario's impact on the dance world continues to be felt to this day. His dedication to his craft and his ability to inspire others through his art have cemented his legacy as a true dance pioneer. Though he may no longer be actively posting on Vine, his influence lives on through the countless dancers he has inspired.
