Nika Mühl was born on September 4, 2001 in Zagreb, Croatia. Growing up, she lived with her family in the bustling city and quickly developed a passion for basketball. She is the oldest of two siblings and has always been a natural leader both on and off the court.
Before making a name for herself at the University of Connecticut, Nika played basketball for the Croatian squad ŽKK Trešnjevka. Her skills and talent quickly caught the attention of college scouts, and she received offers from top programs such as the University of Oregon, Ohio State University, the University of Louisville, and the University of South Florida.
