Nick Van Berkel was born on February 27, 1992 in Canada, specifically in Vancouver, British Columbia. From a young age, he showed a passion for videography and cinematography which eventually led him to pursue a career in the media industry.
Van Berkel attended the British Columbia Institute of Technology from 2011 to 2014 where he earned a diploma in Broadcast Communications, Television. During his time at BCIT, he honed his skills in camera operation and editing, laying the foundation for his future career in the field of media production.
Following his graduation from BCIT, Van Berkel began working as a freelance cinematographer and editor, showcasing his talents in various projects. He also worked as a camera operator for WLA Lacrosse capturing riveting footage of the sport. Van Berkel's dedication and skill set him apart, landing him opportunities to work with prestigious companies such as SportsCanada.TV, Global Television (BC), Ten Feet Sports and Entertainment, among others.
In September 2014, Van Berkel joined Linus Media Group, a prominent media production company, as a videographer, cinematographer, and editor. He quickly became an integral part of the team, contributing his expertise to projects and enhancing the quality of content produced by the company.
