Neil Gorsuch was born on August 29, 1967 in Denver, Colorado. He grew up in a family that valued education and hard work. Gorsuch attended Columbia University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1988. He then went on to Harvard Law School, graduating with a Juris Doctor in 1991.
After completing his education, Gorsuch worked in private practice and also served as a law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy. In 2006, Gorsuch published his first book, The Future of Assisted Suicide and Euthanasia.
