Narciso Crook was born on December 7, 1995 in Nagua, Dominican Republic. At the age of 11, he and his mother moved to Trenton, New Jersey, where he would eventually attend Trenton Central High School. It was during his time at Trenton Central High that Crook discovered his passion for baseball.
While attending Trenton Central High School, Crook played multiple years of varsity baseball, honing his skills and gaining valuable experience on the field. After graduating from high school, he continued his baseball journey at Rowan Community College in Rowan, New Jersey. It was there that he caught the attention of scouts and was ultimately drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 23rd round of the 2013 Major League Draft.
After being drafted by the Cincinnati Reds, Crook worked his way through the minor league system, showcasing his talent and dedication to the game. In November 2021, he signed with the Chicago Cubs, looking to make an impact at the major league level.
On June 30, 2022, Crook made his official major league debut playing against his former team, the Cincinnati Reds. In an impressive performance, he finished the game 2 for 3 with an RBI, showing the baseball world that he belonged on the big stage.
Off the field, Crook values his family and the support they have provided throughout his baseball career. He has two sisters who have been his biggest fans from the beginning. Despite his success in baseball, Crook remains humble and grateful for the opportunities he has been given.
