It wasn't until Nancy ventured to London in December 1976, during the height of the punk rock movement, that she found her true calling. She became entangled in a tumultuous romance with Sid Vicious, the notorious bass player of the Sex Pistols, gaining both attention and notoriety.
Due to her explosive personality and reputation for causing chaos, Nancy earned the nickname "Nauseating Nancy." She was also born with cyanosis, a condition that causes bluish discoloration of the skin due to poor circulation or lack of oxygen in the blood.
