Mike Rufail, also known by his gamertag Hastro, was born on May 15, 1983, in North Carolina. From a young age, he had a passion for gaming and technology. Growing up in North Carolina, he was surrounded by a close-knit community of gamers who shared his love for video games.
After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in moving image and sound, Mike entered the workforce as a technician for Spotlight Express and Special Effects in 2006. It was during this time that he discovered his talent for eSports gaming and commentary.
In 2007, Mike co-founded Team EnVyUs, an eSports gaming club that would go on to become one of the most successful organizations in the industry. Under his leadership, Team EnVyUs saw great success in various gaming competitions, particularly in the Call of Duty series.
