Mike McShane, born on June 25th, 1955 in Hancock, Michigan, spent his early years in the quaint town before moving to Roeland Park, Kansas where he spent the majority of his childhood. It was during his time in Kansas that he discovered his passion for the arts and performing.
After graduating from San Francisco State University, McShane embarked on a professional theater career. He honed his craft by appearing in various productions at the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, as well as at the Faultline and Eureka Theatres and the American Conservatory Theatre.
McShane first gained recognition for his comedic talents on the British version of the sketch comedy program Whose Line Is It Anyway? His quick wit and improvisational skills made him a standout on the show, leading to further opportunities in the entertainment industry.
In addition to his work on Whose Line Is It Anyway?, McShane lent his voice to animated programs such as Avenger Penguins and Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. He also made guest appearances on television shows like Brotherly Love and The Big One.
One of his most memorable roles was in the popular 1999 movie Office Space, where he played a small but memorable character.
