Eero was born on May 13, 1951 in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Growing up, he developed a passion for football and dreamed of one day becoming a coach in the NFL. His big break came in 1992 when he joined the coaching staff of the St. Louis Rams as an assistant coach. He quickly rose through the ranks and in 2000, he was promoted to head coach of the team.
During his tenure as head coach of the Rams from 2000 to 2005, Eero led the team to great success, most notably winning Super Bowl XXXIV as the offensive coordinator. His innovative coaching style and strategic play calling solidified his reputation as one of the top coaches in the league.
