Mike Caliendo was born on October 21, 1997, in Brookfield, Wisconsin. Growing up in the Brookfield area, he was surrounded by a family that valued athletics. Two of his uncles had played college football at the Division 1 level, inspiring Mike to follow in their footsteps.
During his time at Brookfield East High School, Mike was considered a three-star prospect in football. His talent on the field caught the attention of college recruiters, leading to opportunities to play at the next level.
In 2016, Mike enrolled at Western Michigan University, where he began his collegiate football journey. Throughout his time at Western Michigan, he proved to be a standout player both on and off the field. He was a five-time member of the All-MAC Academic Team, showcasing his dedication to his studies.
After going undrafted in the NFL, Mike signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as a free agent in 2022. His hard work and determination paid off when he made his NFL debut during the preseason game against the Chicago Bears.
