In 1995, Bliss made his NASCAR debut in the Camping World Truck Series, where he won his first race at the Lowe's 150 at North Wilkesboro. In September 2013, Bliss had the opportunity to step in for an injured Bobby Labonte, driving Phoenix Racing's No. 51 Chevrolet in the Sprint Cup AdvoCare 500. Despite the pressure of filling in for a seasoned veteran, Bliss rose to the occasion and delivered a solid performance on race day.
