Meghan Klingenberg was born on February 8, 1988 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Growing up, she showed immense talent for soccer and quickly excelled in the sport. She won a Pennsylvania state high school championship and was recognized as an All-America selection during her high school years.
After high school, Klingenberg attended the University of North Carolina, where she continued to showcase her skills on the soccer field. During her time at UNC, she was named to the All-ACC team three out of her four years at the university. In her senior year, she received the prestigious honor of being named an All-American.
Following her successful college career, Klingenberg went on to play professionally for various teams. She started her professional career with magicJack before moving on to play for the Boston Breakers and Tyreso FF. Her skills on the field did not go unnoticed, and in 2011, she joined the U.S. women's soccer team.
Klingenberg's hard work and dedication paid off when she helped lead the U.S. women's soccer team to victory at the 2015 World Cup, where they won the gold medal.
