Matt Hembrough was born on May 17, 1999 in Naperville, Illinois. He grew up in a sports-loving family, with his father, Jeff, having played college football at Illinois State University. Matt attended Benet Academy in Lisle, Illinois, where he excelled both on the football field and on the lacrosse field.
After graduating from high school, Matt went on to play college football at Oklahoma State University. During his time at OSU, he was a four-time member of the Big 12 All-Academic team, showcasing his dedication both on and off the field. In 2021, he was named second-team All-American after a standout NCAA season.
