Mason Cox was born on March 14, 1991, in Texas. He was raised by his parents, Jeanette and Philip Cox, alongside his two brothers. Growing up, Mason was a talented athlete and excelled in a variety of sports, including soccer and basketball.
During his college years, Mason attended Oklahoma State University, where he was actively involved in both the women's and men's basketball programs. Initially, he started out on the women's scout team but eventually made his way onto the men's team as a walk-on player.
