Mahmood Rahman was born on August 22, 1982, in Lahore, Pakistan. From a young age, he had a passion for music and was particularly drawn to the guitar. Growing up in Lahore, a city known for its vibrant music scene, Mahmood was exposed to a variety of musical influences that would shape his future career.
After honing his skills as a guitarist, Mahmood got his big break when he joined forces with the renowned singer Atif Aslam. As Atif's lead guitarist, Mahmood played on two of the artist's most successful albums, 'Jal Pari' and 'Meri Kahani,' both of which quickly rose to the top of the Pakistani charts. Mahmood's dynamic guitar playing and musical prowess quickly gained him recognition within the industry.
In 2010, Mahmood made the decision to join the popular Pakistani rock band Overload as their lead guitarist. Overload had already established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in the Pakistani music scene, and Mahmood's addition to the band only further solidified their position.
Outside of his music career, Mahmood is also the President of the PAKMMA Fighting Alliance, a mixed martial arts organization based in Pakistan. With a passion for combat sports, Mahmood has been instrumental in promoting MMA in the country and providing a platform for local fighters to showcase their skills.
Despite his busy schedule, Mahmood is a devoted family man. He is married to the talented singer and actress Meesha Shafi, who is also known for her work with Overload. Together, they have two children, daughter Janevi and son Kazimir, who are the light of Mahmood's life.
