Mac Carruth was born on March 25, 1992, in Salt Lake City, Utah. From a young age, he showed a passion for hockey and dreamed of one day playing professionally. His parents supported his dream and encouraged him to pursue his love for the sport.
As a junior player, Carruth played for the Wenatchee Wild, where he honed his skills and caught the attention of scouts. His exceptional talent and determination on the ice set him apart from his peers and showcased his potential to play at a higher level.
In 2010, Carruth's dreams became a reality when he was drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks in the seventh round of the NHL Draft. He worked tirelessly to prove himself as a standout goalkeeper and eventually signed with the Cardiff Devils of the British Elite Ice Hockey League in 2021.
Prior to joining the Cardiff Devils, Carruth gained valuable experience playing for the Toledo Walleye in the ECHL. His time with the Walleye helped him transition to the professional level and further develop his skills as a goalkeeper.
Off the ice, Carruth leads a fulfilling personal life. He is happily married to his wife, Keara, and together they share a home with their beloved dog, Bella. Carruth values his family and finds joy in spending time with his loved ones outside of his demanding hockey career.
