Lisa Kron was born on May 20, 1961 in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She grew up with her brother David, to parents Ann Kron, an antiques dealer and community activist, and Walter Kron, a lawyer. Lisa excelled academically and was named valedictorian of her 1979 class at Everett High School.
