Leon Jeanne was born in Cardiff, Wales, where he attended Llanrumney High School. It was here that his love for soccer truly began to blossom. At just 10 years old, he caught the eye of scouts from Arsenal Football Club and soon found himself on the path to a professional career in the sport. By the age of 13, he had made the move to Queens Park Rangers, where he continued to hone his skills and develop as a player.
After making a name for himself at Queens Park Rangers, Leon Jeanne signed with Cardiff City Football Club. It was during his time with Cardiff City that he truly made a mark on the soccer world. In the 2001-02 season, he helped lead his team to victory in the FAW Premier Cup, showcasing his talent and skill on the field.
However, his career was not without its challenges. In 2001, Leon made headlines when he tested positive for a class A drug, resulting in a 2-year suspended sentence from the Football Association of Wales. Although he continued to play professionally for some time after this incident, his contract with Cardiff City was ultimately revoked in May 2002 after he refused to provide a sample for random drug testing.
Despite these setbacks, Leon Jeanne continued to pursue his passion for soccer, enjoying a lengthy non-league senior career after his time with Cardiff City came to an end.
Off the field, Leon Jeanne is a devoted father to his son Tremaine. Family is incredibly important to him, and he takes great pride in being able to share his love of soccer with his child.
