Latasha was the daughter of Crystal Harlins and Sylvester Acoff Sr. She had a younger brother named Vester Acoff Jr. and a younger sister named Christina. After her mother was tragically killed by her father's girlfriend, Latasha was raised by her maternal grandmother, Ruth Harlins.
