Lari Michele White was born on May 13, 1965 in Dunedin, Florida. From a young age, she was surrounded by music, as her family had a gospel music group that she would often sing with. She honed her vocal skills by singing at talent contests with a group called White Sound.
After high school, Lari decided to pursue her passion for music by studying music engineering and vocals at the University of Miami Frost School of Music. This education would prove valuable in her future career as a country music singer.
In 1992, Lari White shot to stardom when she won the talent television competition, You Can Be A Star. This victory opened doors for her in the country music industry, and she quickly began charting with hits like "Now I Know".
