Kyle Beach, a Canadian hockey player, was born on January 13, 1990, in Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada. He grew up in a family that had a strong connection to sports; his younger brother, Cody Beach, is an NHL referee, and his cousin Rich Harden is a former Major League Baseball pitcher.
Beach began his hockey career in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Everett Silvertips in 2005. He quickly made an impact in the league and was named the WHL Rookie of the Year for the 2006-2007 season. Following his success in the WHL, he made his professional debut in the 2008-2009 season with the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.
In 2008, Beach was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks as the 11th overall pick in the NHL draft. This marked the beginning of his journey in the National Hockey League (NHL). He quickly gained a reputation for his aggressive play on the ice, earning him a loyal fan base and respect from his peers.
In October 2021, Beach made headlines when he came forward as the "John Doe" in a sexual assault allegation lawsuit against then-video coach Brad Aldrich during the 2010 Stanley Cup Championship run. Beach's courage in speaking out shed light on the issue of abuse in sports and sparked important conversations about accountability and justice.
Off the ice, Beach is known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his craft. Despite facing challenges throughout his career, he remains determined to succeed and make a positive impact both on and off the ice.
Growing up, Beach idolized hockey great Jarome Iginla, whose skill and leadership on the ice motivated Beach to pursue his own dreams in the sport. He continues to draw inspiration from Iginla's legacy as he navigates the ups and downs of a career in professional hockey.
