Koushin Nishida was born on March 30, 1989 in Japan. He developed a love for music at a young age and picked up the guitar as a teenager. Growing up in Kumamoto, Japan, he was drawn to the energetic and rebellious sounds of punk rock music.
In 2010, Nishida and his bandmates came together to form the punk rock band WANIMA. Alongside singer and bassist Kenta Matsumoto, they quickly gained a following in their hometown and began to make a name for themselves in the Japanese music scene.
WANIMA's big break came when they signed to Pizza of Death Records in 2014. Their infectious blend of punk rock and pop sensibilities resonated with audiences, leading to chart success with hit singles like "Think That...," "JUICE UP!!," and "Gotta Go!!"
The band's third album, "Everybody!!," released in 2018, reached #1 on the Oricon charts, solidifying their status as one of Japan's most popular punk rock bands.
Despite his rockstar persona on stage, Nishida is known for being humble and down to earth offstage. He values his privacy and prefers to let his music speak for itself. When he's not rocking out on stage, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends in Japan.
