Kassidy Cook was born on September 5, 1995, in Plantation, Florida, to parents Kevin and Lauren Cook. She was the fifth of six children, with siblings named Kevin, Kara, Kelsey, Kylie, and Kendall. From a young age, Kassidy showed promise as an athlete, starting out as a child model before transitioning into the world of diving.
Kassidy Cook quickly rose through the ranks in the world of diving, winning numerous junior championship titles. Her talent and dedication paid off when she claimed a first-place victory at the 2010 AT&T National Diving Championships in the 1m springboard event. In the same year, she was named the 2010 high school girls national champion in the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association diving All-American program.
Despite her success, Kassidy faced heartbreak when she narrowly missed out on qualifying for the 2012 Olympics by just 0.4 points. However, she did not let this setback define her career. Instead, she used it as motivation to push herself even further in her pursuit of excellence.
