Glenn Thomas Jacobs, better known by his ring name Kane, was born on April 26, 1967 in Torrejon de Ardoz, Spain. He was born into a US Air Force family, but was raised in Missouri, where he spent most of his childhood. Growing up, Jacobs was an athletic individual, excelling in both basketball and football during his time at Northeast Missouri State University.
Kane began his professional wrestling career in the early 1990s, making his debut in promotions such as Smokey Mountain Wrestling and the United States Wrestling Association. However, it wasn't until he signed with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) in 1995 that he truly made a name for himself.
One of Kane's signature moves was the Chokeslam, a devastating maneuver that sent his opponents crashing to the mat. However, he also adopted the Tombstone Piledriver from The Undertaker, further solidifying his reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the ring.
Despite his success as a wrestler, Kane decided to pursue a career in politics and was elected as the mayor of Knox County, Tennessee in 2018. His transition from the world of wrestling to politics was seamless, showcasing his dedication to serving his community both inside and outside of the ring.
Outside of the ring, Kane is a devoted husband and father. He married Crystal Maurisa Goins on August 23, 1995, and the couple has two children together. Despite his intense on-screen persona, Kane is known for his warmth and compassion towards his family and fans.
Throughout his career, Kane has left an indelible mark on the world of professional wrestling, captivating audiences with his larger-than-life presence and unmatched skills in the ring. From his iconic mask to his legendary battles against the McMahon-Helmsley Faction, Kane will always be remembered as one of the greatest wrestlers of his generation.
