Justs Sirmais, also known simply as Justs, was born on June 2, 1995, in Ķekava, Latvia. From a young age, he showed a natural talent for music and performance, which would eventually lead him to pursue a career in the music industry.
Justs attended Riga State Gymnasium No.1, the oldest school in the Baltic states. It was here that he honed his musical skills and developed a passion for singing. After graduating, he went on to study at the Riga Teacher Training and Educational Management Academy, where he focused on becoming a vocal coach specializing in popular and jazz music. His ultimate goal was to open an alternative music school where he could help nurture and develop the talents of aspiring musicians.
In 2016, Justs had the opportunity to represent Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest with his song "Heartbeat." This was a huge milestone in his career and catapulted him into the international spotlight. His performance was met with praise from fans and critics alike, showcasing his powerful vocals and stage presence.
Following his Eurovision success, Justs self-released a digital version of an EP titled To Be Heard in May of 2016.
