Jung Wooyoung, popularly known as Wooyoung, was born on November 26, 1999, in South Korea. Ever since he was young, he had a passion for performing arts. He attended Hanlim Multi Arts High School, where he honed his skills in singing and dancing. Wooyoung's dream of becoming an idol started during his school years when he showcased his talent in various school productions.
Wooyoung's journey to stardom began when he became a trainee with BigHit Entertainment, where he underwent rigorous training to improve his skills as a performer. He was later scouted by KQ Entertainment and became a member of the eight-piece boy band ATEEZ.
