Julien Boudet was born on June 22, 1985 in the picturesque town of Sete, France. Growing up, he was always drawn to the arts, but initially pursued a degree in Business at the University of Montpellier. However, his passion for photography soon took over and he made the bold decision to move to Brooklyn in 2008 to pursue his dream.
Upon arriving in Brooklyn, Julien wasted no time in immersing himself in the world of photography. He enrolled at the Parsons New School for Design in 2011, where he honed his skills and studied Photography. It was during this time that he began to develop his unique style and perspective as a photographer.
After graduating from Parsons, Julien launched his own photography brand, Bleu Mode, in January of 2013. The brand quickly gained attention for its distinctive aesthetic and innovative approach to street photography. Julien's ability to capture the essence of urban life and fashion soon caught the eye of major clients in the fashion industry.
Julien's career as a photographer skyrocketed as he began working with renowned brands such as Adidas, Burberry, Nike, and Uniqlo. His work graced the pages of fashion magazines and websites, and his unique vision garnered him a large following on Instagram, where he shares his captivating photos with over 180,000 followers.
Julien's work has been featured in prestigious publications such as Elle Turkey, High Snobiety, HypeBeast, and GQ. One of his career highlights was when he covered the Best Street Style from Paris Fashion Week for GQ, showcasing his talent for capturing the pulse of the fashion world.
Despite his busy schedule and globetrotting lifestyle, Julien remains grounded in his roots and often returns to his hometown of Sete, France. He finds inspiration in his surroundings and uses his memories of growing up in a small town as fuel for his creative endeavors.
In 2017, Julien was featured in the Items: Is Fashion Modern? exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in New York. His work was showcased alongside other artists and designers such as Janie Bryant, Issey Miyake, and Ralph Lauren, solidifying his status as a prominent figure in the world of fashion photography.
